As the CEO of Ace Aquatec, I lead a global team that aims to use technology and creativity to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable and responsible aquaculture.

Ace Aquatec is an awarding winning aquaculture technology company specialising in-water electric stunners; automated waterjet bleeding; gentle contactless pumping; MMPA safe predator deterrents, 3D biomass cameras and Sea Lice removal systems.

We started as a small business in 1999, in Dingwall, Scotland. When we secured investment from Dutch investment fund Aqua-Spark and 4J Studios co-founders Paddy Burns and Chris van der Kuyl, we launched our international growth strategy and are now operating as a global aquaculture technology supplier with offices in Dundee, Scotland, Norway, Chile and Australia.

Our determination and drive to improve fish quality and welfare have been recognised by prestigious awards including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation in 2018 and 2019, and the Institute of Directors Award in 2019 for Innovation and in 2020 for Director of the Year for Tayside and Fife.
