I’m a founder and operator with 25+ years of experience building category-defining networking and infrastructure software companies. I co-invented intent-based networking and have spent my career building products that materially change how data centers run in production.

I hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford and am the inventor on dozens of patents in networking technologies. My work spans software, hardware, and AI-driven systems, with a consistent focus on reliability, scale, and operational simplicity in real-world environments.

Today, I am the Founder and CEO of Aria Networks, where we are building a transformational platform at the intersection of infrastructure software, hardware, and AI—purpose-built for modern training and inference workloads.

Previously, I was GVP of Products, Data Center at Juniper Networks, leading the portfolio including Apstra, the intent-based, AI-driven networking company I co-founded in 2014 and scaled through its acquisition by Juniper in 2021.

Before Apstra, I was an early employee and the first business leader at Arista Networks, where I helped launch the company's initial product and established the foundational business operations that paved the way for its IPO and growth into a $100B+ industry leader.I also served as an executive at Big Switch Networks, an SDN pioneer which was acquired by Arista.

I’m passionate about building high-caliber teams and products that engineers are proud to run and customers trust for their most critical infrastructure. I also invest at the seed stage in companies applying AI and machine learning to solve real-world infrastructure problems.
