We make fuel cells and and electrolyzers better by allowing them to start with better materials. Principally, we focus our efforts on the membranes, ionomers and catalyst for the systems. Right now, we are developing nanocomposite membranes that will serve as a viable replacement to incumbent proton exchange membranes to extend the operational range to low humidities and elevated temperatures. This simplifies thermal and water management to deliver more compact and simpler devices. We believe that new materials is the avenue to provide the leapfrog improvements in this field to ultimately realize the potential of a hydrogen economy.
