Phil has a 20-year career in applied technology, and a decade building AI-powered data platforms in financial services. Phil is the CEO of Filament, a business he co-founded in 2016 and has scaled and spun off two new AI firms, ArcticAI.co and EBM.ai. Filament now specialises in serving Private Equity & Investment Banks via their Syfter data integration platform and expert services.
Phil is a former executive at IBM, leading the IBM Watson platform in Europe. He is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Nottingham University Business School, advising startups on how to leverage AI technology to enhance their business model. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Sainsburys Management Fellow and holds an MBA from IESE and Columbia business schools.
