In 2017 I co-founded Monobank, Ukraine’s first mobile-only bank. In just 10 months we hit 450,000 customers with 80% of our customers joining us by word of mouth. Our customers love our bank because we provide many services either for free, or much cheaper than other banks, thanks to our virtual business model, and also because our mobile app is really cool.

I also head a non-profit organization, iGov (www.igov.org.ua), which helps the Government of Ukraine operate e-services, thus helping Ukraine to fight ineffectiveness and corruption.

Before launching Monobank, I worked as CIO / CTO at Privatbank, one of the largest banks in Eastern Europe. And before PrivatBank, I earned an MBA degree from London Business School.

I am one of Ukraine’s top bloggers with more than 150,000 regular followers. The Financial Times and Google included me in the “The New Europe 100 list” and in 2016 Forbes Ukraine nominated me in the “30 under 30” list, describing me as “a young innovator and IT specialist, who is driven by the possibility of doing something important and necessary”.

One of the success factors of my projects is my cat. To be fair, it’s him, not me, who should be nominated in these lists!
