Previously I spent 2.5 years as a research scientist at Google DeepMind, working on LLM evaluation, safety, governance, and long-term strategy. Before that I did my PhD at the University of Oxford where I studied the governance of model release decisions (GPT-2 and GPT-3) during the early days of LLMs.
