I am co-founder and CEO of Objective, Inc (formerly Kailua Labs), a Seed stage startup building a modern search platform that learns from human feedback. With over 15 years of experience in research and engineering, I specialize in rapidly turning data gathering, transformation, and analytics into innovative products and solutions, based on strong scientific foundations.

I am passionate about building teams and relationships, and empowering people with data and knowledge. Before starting Kailua Labs, I led a geographically-distributed team responsible for Siri’s general knowledge question answering at Apple, where I also worked as a research scientist on information extraction and knowledge graphs. I have co-authored several patents, received academic and corporate awards, and published over 30 research papers that have been cited over 5,000 times. My mission is to create and apply machine intelligence and human in the loop AI to extraction, integration, and exploration of information, and to contribute to the advancement of the field.
