Newton is an experienced founder, innovator, and investor with a proven track record as a leader.

With a background in founding and scaling startups, Newton's second venture ClientDesk, a B2B SaaS company, was successfully acquired. As FinTech leader, Newton held a leadership role in the Global Innovation and Fintech Partnerships division at Scotiabank, where he played a key role in shaping the bank's FinTech innovation strategy focused on Payments, Open Banking, and Digital Assets.

Newton is also an experienced early-stage investor and previously served as the Managing Director for Dream Maker Ventures a Toronto-based fund, where he oversaw a portfolio of 20+ start-up companies.

Newton possesses a comprehensive set of skills, including digital innovation strategy, technical and business analysis, product management, market research, team building, and early stage investing.
