I received my PhD in biomedical engineering (at 19) and along the way becoming the youngest to earn a doctorate in the field and one of the youngest PhD holders in the world. While pursuing my PhD, I became the founding CEO of MedARC, a medical AI research center.

My journey has been one of passion, determination and breaking barriers; a whirlwind journey of learning and achievements.

Starting young, I completed high school at 10, followed by earning 3 college Associate Degrees by 11 – all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. My fascination with medical sciences and engineering led me to a biomedical engineering program at 13. During my undergrad, I published and presented research papers at various conferences. At 14, I authored a review paper on smart bio-inspired vesicles published in IOP Physical Biology. Graduating summa cum laude from University of California, Davis, I became the youngest biomedical engineer in the nation.

My continued passion for research led me to a PhD program at 15. I contributed as a chapter author to "Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning in Pathology" book at 16. I presented my research at ICML2020, SPIE Photonic Europe 2022, SPIE Photonics West 2023, and NeurIPS 2023. Google Scholar reflects my strong citation record. For a young researcher, I have an impressive citation record with h-index of 5 per Google Scholar. I defended my PhD dissertation on "Virtual Staining of Slide-Free Microscopy Images with Deep Learning" at 19.

As Founding CEO of MedARC, I lead research teams from prestigious scientific organizations. I'm also the Research Director at Stability AI. Additionally, I contribute to CarperAI and EleutherAI research teams, engaging in AI projects. I share insights on machine learning, medical AI, and STEM with a wide online audience.

I've participated in AI hackathons and have enjoyed Kaggle competitions earning a few silver and bronze medals (and striving for gold!) as well as achieved Notebooks Grandmaster and Discussions Master rank. My content is widely used in the machine learning community. This experience has taught me the value of community and collaboration in the field of machine learning.

Honored and humbled that at a young age, I am considered a leading expert in the field and I'm invited to AI podcasts, peer-reviewed journal reviewing, and medical AI symposium panels. National and international media features, TV shows, documentaries, celebrate my unique accomplishments.

I strive to inspire others through my journey, making a positive impact along the way and show that age is just a number.
