I am a geochemist and former academic turned entrepreneur taking a new climate technology from the lab bench to commercialization. Travertine's technology recycles chemical waste to minimize the environmental impact of critical element extraction and refining, which are crucial to the energy transition. A unique benefit of our approach is that it enables end-to-end carbon dioxide removal from the atmosphere and mineralization, a geologically permanent form of carbon sequestration. At Travertine, we are working to build a team that is mission driven, respectful, collaborative, and not afraid of a challenge. I am grateful to be able to use my skills to help realize the dual goals of a stable climate and healthy planet for my own kids and for our global community.
