I have been a busy general surgeon in Austin since 2003. Prior to returning to Austin, I proudly served in the US Navy as the Ship Surgeon on the USS Enterprise in the Northern Arabian Sea during 9/11. Subsequently, I was deployed with the 1st Marine Division to Iraq where I was a trauma surgeon on the front lines.

I began my practice at the University Medical Center Brackenridge and have transitioned to Dell Seton Medical Center. I am an Associate Professor of Surgery at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas, where I have held several leadership positions including the general surgery residency program director and Division Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery.

More recently, I have taken on a new role as Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship where I can leverage my experience in the medical start up space. This experience includes my current role as CEO of ClearCam as well as various Board positions that I have held over the last decade.
